Student Exchange Program (One Semester)
This program aims to promote international collaboration with overseas universities through student exchange agreements, while fostering practical global talent who can serve as bridges between Japan and the international community.
This is a reciprocal exchange program that not only accepts international students but also sends TUAT students abroad. The program has since expanded its partner countries beyond the ASEAN region to include Europe and North America.
The program is divided between the Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Engineering, and participating students typically study abroad for one semester (approximately five months).
The program is based on the AIMS Program—'Development of Next-Generation Leaders in Sustainable Food Production, Technology Innovation, and Regional Development from ASEAN'—a joint initiative launched in 2014 by a consortium of three universities: Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Tokyo Metropolitan University, and Ibaraki University, under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s (MEXT) Project for the Promotion of Global Human Resource Development.
